The couple first adopted son Alex in 2011 when he was five days old, with Alicia falling pregnant with the pair’s daughter Zoe.
A year later they adopted son James, when he was six, and two weeks later got the news Alicia was pregnant with their son Dash.
The couple then took in twins for five days, before adopting them officially in 2018 and they went on to welcome two more biological children Brodie and Carly, as well as adopted siblings Brie and Patrick.
Running a full household certainly doesn’t come easy, with Alicia likening feeding her family to preparing for a family buffet.
In a series of videos shared via her TikTok page, @doughertydozen, mum Alicia gave viewers an insight into what her 10 kids eat – and just how much food they go through – on a daily basis.
A typical breakfast can see her get through 10 bowls of cereal, 20 sausages and a gallon of milk or a cooked breakfast usually requires 3lbs of bacon (48 rashers), 36 eggs and two packets of pancake mix.
For lunch, she expertly packs up the kids’ lunchboxes in record timing in one video shares online, piling them full with 10 sandwiches, 10 bags of crisps, 10 yoghurts, 10 apples, 10 cookies and 10 juice boxes,
Dinner, meanwhile, sees Alicia cook up 20 chicken breasts, 3lbs of broccoli and four boxes of mac and cheese.
It’s no surprise then that picking up her weekly food shop usually requires no less than four trolleys. Yes, four.
She jokes in one video: “Shopping for my family of 12 – it never fails, I get asked every single week do I work for a group home? Run a daycare? Am I having a party? Nope, I just have 10 kids.”
“We end up needing four carts and I’m pretty sure the cashier wished he hadn’t come to work today,” Alicia teased.

Another video saw her heading back to the grocery store for her fourth trolley-load of shopping as she forgot to pick up some essentials during her weekly shop.
“Here’s what I forgot to get yesterday… sushi – with six kids at home I decided to grab a quick dinner for tonight. Bananas, milk – some for a few days, bottled water,” she’s heard saying as she takes viewers through her shop.
“I love these containers for lunches, the triplets needed new water bottles, dish soap and that’s it for today.”
Showing off her receipt after packing away her shopping at the checkout, Alicia revealed she spent $207.97 (£152) on food – and that was just the items she had forgotten from her previous shop.
Other supermarket trips reveal spends of up to $670 (£490) and $1,101 (£805) on the weekly food shop.
Curious viewers were keen to know more about her huge family, as her video racked up hundreds of comments.
When one person quizzed Alicia on where she keeps all her food at home, the mum-of-10 replied: “Four fridges and two freezers.”
Another said: “Idk [I don’t know] how ya’ll are doing this. 6 is KILLING me at the grocery and and I am a die hard bargain shopper.”

Many quizzed Alicia on how she and her husband can afford their mammoth grocery bills, with Alicia revealing she and Josh “work multiple jobs” to provide for their big brood.
The couple have found themselves going viral online, thanks to their unconventional family life, with Alicia often sharing what a day in the life of a mum with 10 kids looks like – and it often involves waking up at 5am to ensure all breakfast and packed lunches are ready.
Asked how she does it all, she sweetly reveals: “It’s all thanks to coffee, kisses and a good night’s sleep.”
