MANCHESTER UNITED were ran ragged by Watford in a humbling 4-1 defeat at Vicarage Road.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were carved apart by the Hornets’ swashbuckling front three of Josh King, Ismaila Sarr and Emmanuel Dennis.

Van de Beek was United’s best player by a country mile[/caption]
Ex-Manchester United man King gave the Hornets the lead, before Sarr atoned for an earlier missed penalty with the home side’s second.
Donny van de Beek pulled one back but Harry Maguire’s needless red card effectively killed the game.
Stoppage time strikes from Joao Pedro and Dennis compounded United’s misery and heaped yet more pressure on Solskjaer.
Here’s how SunSport rated the Red Devils horror show.
David De Gea – 4
Deserves an inkling of credit for effectively saving two penalties but should have done better for Watford’s opener.
He let the ball go straight through him for King’s goal, and was too weak again for Dennis’ fourth.
Luke Shaw – 4
Misery was compounded when he had to go off following being struck by the ball in the face from point blank range.
Looked unsure when he was on, and struggled to deal with the pace of Sarr.
Harry Maguire – 2
Booked initially for a needless challenge on Sarr.
Was then sent off for a moment of madness after lunging in on Cleverley after his own heavy touch.
Ultimately cost United the game.

Victor Lindelof – 4
Bullied by Josh King throughout, but marginally better than his centre-half partner.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 3
Ran ragged by Watford front three.
Dennis had his number all afternoon and left the defender in his wake when assisting the first goal.
Nemanja Matic – 3
Looked yards off the pace and his lack of match time showed.
Dominated in the midfield battle by Moussa Sissoko.
Scott McTominay – 3
Booked in the first half and hooked at half time.
Not the way he would have wanted to mark his 100th Premier League appearance.
Jadon Sancho – 5
Looked a different player in the second player in the second half and his wicked cross into the box created the Manchester United goal.
Put some dangerous crosses into the box but on the whole was well marshalled by Masina.
Bruno Fernandes – 5
Tried to effect the game with his range of passing but was picked off by the Watford defence.
Had a good chance when afforded time to shoot on the edge of the area but was unusually wasteful.
Marcus Rashford – 4
Was United’s brightest spark in the first half but was hooked at the break.
Cristiano Ronaldo – 5
Wasted a guilt-edged chance to make it 2-2 after being put through on goal by van de Beek.
Looked dangerous at times but was well restricted by the Watford defence.
Donny van de Beek (46) – 7
The Dutchman was finally given his chance and was a man possessed.
He changed the game for the period between his goal and Maguire’s sending off.
The midfielder snapped into challenges and showed the desire that the rest of his colleagues were missing.
Anthony Martial (46) – 4
Wouldn’t know that he came on at half time.
Hugely ineffective and kept out of the game by the impressive Kiko Femenia.
