THE sixteenth season of The Apprentice is finally making its return with sixteen new contestants.
Meet Shama Amin, a candidate that believes she possesses the “skills for a successful businesswomen”.

Who is Shama Amin on The Apprentice?
Shama Amin is a 41-year-old mother of five from Bradford.
Having lived in Bradford for the past 20 years, Shama moved the area with her husband, to pursue a high-flying career in banking.
However, she gave this up to raise her children, but the idea of what her future could hold for her family never left her mind.
After four years at home, she decided to open The Little Academy Day Nursery as a means of inspiring children to achieve their dreams.
The nursery launched in 2014 and is located on Manchester Road, Bradford.
Since its opening, it has welcomed countless children through its doors and has proven to be popular with both parents and children.
Prior to starring in The Apprentice, in 2017, Shama was a finalist for the Bradford ‘Mum of the Year’ awards and was also featured as one of BBC Radio Leeds finalists to become the ‘Voice of Bradford’.

What has Shama Amin said?
Shama describes herself as loyal, determined and outspoken.
She is adamant that she holds the “skillset that is required to be one of the best, successful businesswomen in the early years sector”.
Shama hopes to inspire during her time on The Apprentice, she reveals: “Being a lady of colour, wearing a headscarf as well, and the challenges that we face on a daily basis, I just want to be a living example for the Asian women and South Asian women out there.”

The Apprentice makes a return to BBC One on Thursday, January 6 at 9pm.
