Description
The Worx Nitro WX845L 20V Power Share 7.25 in. Cordless Sliding Compound Miter Saw has the power, expanded functionality, and run time needed to tackle advanced DIY projects or to use for professional work. This 20V Miter Saw is part of the Worx Nitro line of battery-powered tools, which, when paired with Power Share PRO high-capacity batteries, offer extended run times, plus more power and performance than other battery-operated tools on the market. 8-1/4 in. of maximum cutting capacity (@ 90°) gives this Sliding Miter Saw professional-grade operability (5-3/4 in. @ 45°). Work holding clamps on both sides of the blade and the extension wings hold projects of all sizes securely in place for safer, more efficient cutting, making this saw great at cutting flooring, crown molding, door frames and more. The bevel knob ranges from 0-45° allowing for perfect miter cuts, and cutting depth adjustments make partial cuts, dadoes and rabbets easy (maximum cutting thickness: 2-1/4 in @ 90°, 1.63 in. @ 45°), while the miter detents are handy for cutting the most common angles. This Sliding Miter Saw spins the 7-1/4 in. blade (5/8 in. arbor) at 3600 RPM of no-load speed. And when using a 4.0Ah Power Share PRO battery it offers longer run times than typical 20V Miter Saws. (Up to twice as long as standard 2.0Ah batteries.) It weighs only 21 lbs. so it’s easy to transport from the workshop to the jobsite, saving you the time and hassle of bringing projects back and forth.

Surprising power for a battery operating saw.I have not really put it to task yet. Primarily I have just practiced/put it through some excersizes. It has cut well and accurately. I need to pay attention to it as it can moved around some as it does not weigh as much as my electric one. I am sure as I use it more it will become comfortable. The batteries last awhile but I would only use it as a backup on a commercial job site.

Impressive, but still needs a few more tweaks to make it perfect…Really cool lightweight and portable — that is what I wanted — instead of hauling my heavier bulkier miter saw I have in my workshop.I was very surprised how clean the cuts are made with the included saw blade. No tear out at all. Nice! — I feel the faster RPM speed is what makes the difference!Things that I would like the company WORX to improve on to make it worthy of a 5 star review:1) They should not use a vinyl/paper sticker material for the miter scale (angle gauge). They should have it laser etched or stamped on the metal or aluminum surface — that to me was a really huge disappointment.Because as time goes by, with wood dust and even outdoor work environments (humidity or even human sweat), it will eventually peel and you won’t have a miter scale to read and etc. Also if you later update this miter saw, make sure the miter gauge supports both miter and protractor angles.2) They should provide some #8 screw holes on the sides of the fence so we can add a wooden zero clearance fence for smaller sized projects. I will have to wait until the warranty is over to have to drill holes myself to customize that.3) Though I love how you added a feature to hold down the material when cutting (i.e. the precision-machined guide rails), I think if you try to incorporate a way to also add a stop block feature — for repeated length cuts, that would be an ideal feature and perhaps quite unique from the competition out there as far as features go for miter saws. That’s all I can think of for the moment, I’ve only been able to use it for one day. If more things come up, I will update this review, but so far, I’m very impressed!P.S. I also like that amazon offered a 5 payment plan, that makes it easier on some end-user with a limited monthly budget — so thanks for that!UPDATE:Oh, I like that it also has two round pocket holes (1-3/8″ / 34.925 mm depth) on the back of the fence, my guess to be able to use miter saw clamps on each side of the fence (one per side). From my own measurements (with a caliper), we simply need the miter saw clamps to have a shaft that is 5/8″ diameter (i.e. .6250 decimals / 15.875 mm) to drop then into those holes. These two holes will help putting a stop block for some short length repeated cuts.

Safety! It was kind of scary to use my old10 inch corded miter saw. I feel completely safe using this one. I even operated it with one hand and took cell phone video with the other hand. I happily gave away my old miter saw after I received this one.

Very badBought months ago and had been sitting in the box. Finally got it out to use. I have many many worx devices and love them all but this one is very bad. The teeth of the blade chewed up the plastic work surface before I opened it. The sliding mech is very unsmooth and will adversely affect your cut (shifts roughly left to right as you slide) power switch does nothing, device is always on ready to go even with switch off

Ships with missing parts (Updated)Being an owner of a Makita 12′ compound mitre, I wanted something much smaller and this Worx saw was in my opinion, the ideal choice. It advertises a laser but there is none. I was 100% sold on the work-holding lever to avoid using my hand to hold the wood. There was no lever in the box. When visiting the website, the part is not available for purchase separately. It still cuts. I’d be pissed if I were to lose a finger though. Having no work-holding lever and all. -_-Update: Though the missing part cannot be bought separately, customer service was kind enough to reimburse Amazon store credit. Unfortunate experience but a solid tool and purchase.
