An Ounce of PreventionI bought this when our inducer started to make noise. We figured we would just wait for it to fail (it is cold where we live). It turns out that was a good choice. The old inducer failed on a very cold night and it took me less than an hour, start to finish, to swap this one in. Much of that time was me being very careful. This replacement fit exactly right and worked the first time. It is well balanced and is hard to hear which is great. This is a perfect replacement for our inducer.

Furnace blowerUnite fit perfect but had to take apart and reseal the gasket area because of a leaking seal

Fit in furnace exactly, works perfectlyReplacing the inverter myself with this product saved over $500 in furnace repair service charges. Just 4 screws and a little high-temp sealer and it was good to go.

Broke within a weekWe had our furnace cleaned (by a very credible/local company) a month ago and asked to have this part installed. A week later we had to call again because our furnace was making an odd/loud noise. Unfortunately we were told this part was not well made and the company offered to install a part by a brand they’d recommend. Long story short, we ended up paying way more than we anticipated.

Cover leaks right out of the box.Cover leaks right out of the box. Had to silicone to seal condensate in properly.

So far so good, and super quietMy inducer housing/motor assembly started making awful grinding noises. Priced a new unit from Carrier through my work for nearly $500. With my furnace already being 15 years old, didn’t feel like dumping that much money into it. The piece felt on par with the Carrier part coming off and came with all the necessary pieces. Been going for over a week in some brutally cold temps and not a single hiccup. Even if this fails in a year or two and I have to put another one in, I’m still up versus the Carrier part. No brainer so far.
