Main Crank Pulley Bolt? No Sweat!!I have been trying to replace the leaky water pump on my 1994 Honda Accord LX the past year. First, I tried with a crank pulley lock and the 5-foot breaker pipe. No matter how I was pushing and huffing that long pipe, the bolt won’t budge. Delay another month or so. Then I went to my local HD and got me their best-rated 800ft-lbs Husky (see photo) for a reasonable price of about $110.The following weekend I was so excited to get to try this new toy I even got me a Husky 30-gal compressor to complement the rated power of the impact wrench. So I thought I was ready – NOT!!! Although, the Husky wrench was great on wheel lug bolts, it was no match for the main crank pulley bolt!!! All it could muster was shake the pulley and loosen the plug on the weep hole in the process – causing more leak. Another month of delay and more research while the coolant leak progressively getting worse – I am now loosing a gallon of coolant 1-2 weeks interval. I found out that filling the coolant reservoir stops the free flow of the coolant to the weep hole when the engine is stopped. I suppose this is akin to a water bottle only open on one end will not allow the water to flow freely.So, for the next month I bounced from Ingersoll Rand to Air-Cat, and Air-Cat to Ingersoll-Rand. I finally settled with the Air-Cat 1600 for its 3/4in drive (bought a 1/2in adapter) for its price vs. power compared to the IR. I also read all purchaser’s comments and pulled the trigger (yes pun intended) to the Air-Cat.And yesterday confirmed my delight. After only a few seconds hammering (w/ that Lisle harmonic balancer socket adapter) the crank pulley bolt came flying out like a mother@#$%^! I am so satisfied I will be keeping this baby in my tool cabinet for special operations only. I will use that Husky wrench for tire rotations and miscellaneous low-duty ops.Many thanks Air-Cat!!!

Good budget gun. Decent power and light weightTrying out the aircat after my ingersol broke. Has good power and is light but it does bounce/vibrate around a lot when using compared to other high quality guns. The 1” drive Mac gun doesn’t even bounce around as much on the same nut as the aircat did

Power TorqueThis unit has great torque for our tough jobs! It even has 3 settings so you can go from a low setting to a higher setting when you torque up a bolt pattern.

Good gun!I’ll put it this way with a 1/2” air hose it will torque 15 liter Cummins main cap bolts. Do yourself a favor and get the condom for it, heat it up in the microwave for a bit and it slips on.
