Great Combo SystemThis is a great combo system. I never thought I would use some the accessories but I have now found uses that I never thought about. I also own B&D yard tools so I am able to use same batteries.

Faulty battery and chargerSpent all this money on it tonight even be able to use it because the charger and the battery were bad

Entry level tools, meager battery, still very usefulFirst off, the value proposition: Ordered separately, it is highly unlikely that you’d be able to find a cordless drill, impact driver, trim saw, shear shrubber, oscillating multi-tool, router, sander, jigsaw, reciprocating saw, high pressure inflator, high flow inflator, and LED work light all for $369. If you could do it you’d be scraping the bottom of the barrel.While you aren’t scraping the barrel with these tools, they definitely are entry-level homeowner tools. Don’t expect anything like DeWalt/Milwaukee/Makita quality. These definitely have their limits.But … sometimes that’s all you need. Not everyone or every job needs tons of power or torque or speed or for a tool to last for years being used daily. For someone who wants to tackle a variety of small projects around the house on the weekend, this could be a good kit. Additional attachments are very inexpensive as they don’t need the expensive motor components, so if you decide later that you need the buffer or the detail sander or whatever, you can spend $25-$50 for the piece you want and snap it on to the powerhead. The Matrix line lowers the barrier to entry for projects that require a specialty tool, and gives you some flexibility to try new things without having to commit as much money.You don’t save a whole lot buying this as a kit instead of the powerhead and the attachments individually, but you do get the case as well. If the price seems high, I’d recommend seeing if buying only the attachments you need makes more sense.At first I saw the inflators as mostly padding out the kit, but they honestly see a lot more use than I’d expect. They do eat battery though.I am not very impressed by the runtime of the included battery. I definitely suggest you get a larger battery if you get this kit. I have an Ibanti brand “5.0Ah” battery that cost $35 that works very well. In my opinion, a kit like this should at least have included a second battery.

Very pleasedThis is a great entry-level set of power tools and a definitely a way to save space, minimize batteries, chargers, etc. There was a time when every power tool I had had a separate charger– I would label them to remind me which was which, but it was still a hassle.We’ve recently moved and I no longer have the great workshop that I once had. Space for projects has been greatly minimized, but it’s likely I won’t have the same scope of projects I want to do, too. Hopefully, at least. I still have a shop (but no more ventilation) and I still have a patio (but only a few months a year that I’d be able to work out there).Anyways, I got rid of a lot of stuff I had, gave a lot to my son, and kept a few things. This set enables me to really just leave the one battery charging (it should have included a second, and I’ve already ordered one) in case I need the drill or trimming tool for immediate use. I really don’t think I’ll use everything but, of course, I’ve already used the drill, the jig saw, the tree branch trimmer, the trim saw attachment and the oscillating tool. All of them worked really well and there was enough power with the 20v. While using the drill, I drilled through both wood and masonry without any issue (used my own drill bits), I used the jig saw and saw attachment to cut a piece of 1 inch thick plywood to the shape I needed. I used the oscillating tool to cut through a door to install a pet door (I prefer my oscillating tool by Avid, because it’s shaped better for this use), and I used the branch trimmer to trim less-than 1 inch thick branches.All of them worked well. Very pleased.I am not sure it will really replace my jigsaw, but the regular saw attachment was pretty helpful and I no longer have a larger saw, so I can see using this one periodically in addition to the drill, which I’ve been using daily.Recommended. This would make an excellent gift, too. Definitely a great way to get started all in one kit and, while Black and Decker isn’t what it used to be, it’s still a good name and much more affordable than similar kits.
