Description
The Bosch GDS18V-740 18V PROFACTOR 1/2 In. Impact Wrench with Friction Ring is designed for breaking free and driving large bolts, nuts and anchors quickly. It is part of the PROFACTOR System, which pairs BITURBO Brushless Technology with a CORE18V PROFACTOR battery. BITURBO Brushless Technology is a high-performance motor and drive-train system designed to deliver power comparable to high-demand corded tools. The tool delivers up to 740 Ft.-Lbs. fastening torque and 1,180 Ft.-Lbs. breakaway torque, while maintaining long runtime. It offers controlled power output, with three speed/torque settings (0-800/1,200/1,750 RPM). The wrench features a rubber head casing that protects workpiece and tool from damage. This is a bare tool; battery and charger are sold separately.

Absolute beastI love this tool, does anything you would ask of it. You will have to stay on trigger for a bit to get things off and tight but it will break anything loose. And torqued past my torque wrench of 200ftlbs. Just be aware it is recommended to use the 8amp hour battery but works fine with the 4amp hr!

great tool, does the job.I bought this after trying the expensive Milwaukee top of the line, which is stronger.I bought it to remove a rusty nut from the axle of my car. It performs like the milwaukee for this case, I don’t need more torque. I also bought the Makita competitor with same specs but costing 10% more.Bosch has a better grip, and the width and length are a tiny bit led than Makita, potentially making it fit better in tight spaces.

Monster ImpactUse this impact professionally everyday. It has absolutely not issue taking off any lug nuts I have come across (working in light duty environment). I cannot attest to it’s use in the heavy equipment field but in standard shop duty it’s a complete beast and you will not be disappointed. Good power and battery life go hand and hand with this one, but make sure to use it with a Profactor rated battery.

WORKS LIKE PRO…just get BIG batteryIt’s cheap compared to other HIGH QUALITY mfg’s like DeWalt or Milwaukee, and works just was WELL/GREAT. But keep in mind that you will need at least an 8.0 battery to get best torque, and you should get a 12.0 mAh battery if you have more than a few lug nuts. Small batteries look good under no load, but don’t provide enough juice to get torque needed to spin off a single nut, let alone a wheel.

easy to use.Great Tool!! Use it for the front time the other day changing my disc brakes. It’s got the power you need. It took longer to jack my car up than it took taking the tire and brakes off. It took seconds. Great tool, I’m so glad I got it and it’s worth the money.

Impact Wrench does the jobThis was sold as “tool only,” so I can’t rate battery life. This tool works. I used it to remove and mount tires on our cars. What a wonderful thing to not drag an air hose around the car. Plus, it has more torque than my old pneumatic impact tool, so a recent strut job would likely not have involved a mechanical wrench and breaker bar to loosen knuckle bolts.Great tool.

One of the best high torqueWell dislike it’s heavy. I bought it only for removing wheel lug nuts. My coworker has dewalt high torque gun he was trying to remove Mercedec lug nut but wouldn’t be able remove it. I try the Bosch with 12amp hr battery it took it out with zero problem

This impact kicks ass!I have not had this absolute UNIT of a tool struggle on anything yet. I bought this to replace my old and worn out snap-on equivalent electric impact. These Bosch batteries last WAY longer and now my main impact matches the rest of my Bosch power tools. Except value for the money. My first one was broken right out of the box, but a replacement was issued immediately and I have had no issue at all with it yet. Must have been a fluke, as it hasn’t appeared to ever have been out of its box.
