The DCD797 Cordless Compact Hammerdrill with Tool Connect is based on the latest DEWALT XR Brushless Compact Hammerdrill (DCD796) with additional integrated Bluetooth technology. Connect to the Tool Connect free mobile app and Inventory Manager web portal to track, manage and customize the tool. With Bluetooth integrated into the tool, you do not need a Tool Connect battery to utilize tracking functionality. The Tool Connect 3-part inventory management solution includes the app and Inventory Manager web portal that work together to help you better communicate updates from the field to the office. You will get updates regarding the whereabouts of tools, materials and equipment, meaning your assets are tracked during the day and accountability is placed on appropriate crew members. Use Tool Connect tools along with Tool Connect batteries, the Connector and the Tag for a complete inventory management solution.

    DeWalt guy!!1st off I’m a DeWalt user/fan,,, so take that into consideration when reading this. But there’s a reason for that,, for me they’ve been great tool for the $$.I’ve had the DCD797 20 volt drill, driver, hammer drill for about 4mths. I use it nearly everyday and can’t say enough good about it. I work as a Maintenance Tech at a health Care facility and my tasks swing wildly from day to day. A drill has to be small enough to throw in my tool bucket yet tough/powerful enough to hammer through concrete. Vast majority of my jobs would be considered repairs but I can have a dozen of them in a day. Love the ergonomics of the grip and the design angles of the light. Clutch system is on the money as well as being able to run an 1-1/2″ spade bit thru a 2X4. I do have 1 little annoyance though,,, the forward/reverse switch doesn’t have a distinct click/feel when changing from one to another but has yet to be off tremendous significance. More of a fit and feel issue at this time. If your in the market for and all around user friendly drill driver pull the trigger.
