HUGE difference in taste and smell; easy to installRarely review products from Amazon, buy at least 10 a week, no joke. So this is a pretty impressive product to get me writing a review.Came in a single box, includes a limited number of easily identifiable parts. They clearly indicate in the instructions how to wrap threaded members with teflon tape, the instructions are thorough and very easy to follow, and the tubing included is ample (we had extra). Took about 15 minutes to install (wrap the in and out elbows with tape, screw in, 2 screws to mount the head, attach the valve to the main line, add tubing, and add a little faucet to the top of the basin). Viola!Followed the instructions to the tee, bought a faucet by recommendation via “what others purchased”, and we’re now drinking completely tasteless, odorless, colorless, bottle-superior water. I couldn’t be happier. Look into a replacement canister by Body Glove (their 300H replacement filter), a bit more expensive, but longer lasting, more thorough filtration, and higher quality materials from my research. Bought a Body Glove filter for when the included Everpure canister is no good.Also, flow rate is very good. 12 oz. drinking glass is full in 10 seconds or less. Had only a few weeks, but will update if it becomes less than my new best friend.

Excellent Filter – easy installI’m a regular guy who can do some DIY projects. I don’t understand why many say this filter was hard to install. It’s very easy. The only thing is that when it tells you to hand-tighten the elbow fittings (part that connects the hose to the filter)I would take a wrench and tighten it down more just one more turn. Also, make sure you cut the hose at 90 degrees and shove the hose to the fittings real nice. The only semi-hard part was that my water valve was 1/2 so I converted it to a dual valve that has both a 3/8 (for the filter adapter) and 1/2 (for the hose connected to the cold water faucet). Water taste so good! If you ever need help, just email me and I can help you step by step. I bought a separate drinking faucet from faucets direct.com for $40.Btw, everpure is the brand many fast food and restaurants use for filtering. Ever wonder why McDonalds coke taste so good? They use Everpure!

Stay Away – Bad Support from Manufacture.I usually don’t have time to write review on all the items that I purchased unless the item is either really good or is really bad. Unfortunately, this one is bad. I really hope to like the product because it’s very easy to install and does not take under counter space comparing to the reverse osmosis system that I had. When I remodeled my kitchen five months ago, I decided to replace my reverse osmosis with this one. Bad mistake. There are many models and I decided to get this more expensive one hoping to get better water quality. After two months of use, I see a bunch of little particles moving around at the bottom of the glass and the water tasted funny. We decided to boil the water before drinking just in case. We have an automatic boiler that keeps the temperature at 195 degrees all the time. After a month, the water boiler has a calcium or some white stuff built up at the bottom so my wife used vinegar to clean it out. After a month or so, it happens again. We never have this problem with the reverse osmosis.I called the manufacture and they said I’ve to call Amazon. After talking to Amazon, Amazon said they only processed the order and to contact the original seller through Amazon. Called them and they told me it’s Amazon and not them. After many phone calls and runarounds, I gave up. $300+ for five months for crappy water. I’m going back to the reverse osmosis system. Wife hates it and when she’s not happy, I’m not happy.Pros: Compact comparing to the reverse osmosis system, easy to install, does not waste water like the reverse osmosis system.Cons: Dirty water in only a few months, water tasted funny.

Cartiage head and filter leaksWe installed this water filter system by a professional plumber. The filter does not seat properly in the filter head. It continues to leak. I was totaled that the manufacturing facility changed and the head and new filter don’t seat properly. Consequently we have a leaking filter. I called Pentair Customer Service and not only were they rude they basically hung up when talking to our plumber. The person at Customer service said go back to Amazon and ask for a new head. That person had horrible Customer Service attitude. I will be writing a letter to their management.Meanwhile I’m stuck with a leaking cartridge. Does anyone have any suggestions what I can do. Pentair Customer service did not offer any help.

Old one lasted just over a yearOne of these systems was installed (professionally) in July 2017. By May 2018, the cartridge itself was leaking slowly. The manufacturer replaced it. It’s not all that easy to replace the cartridge, but the taste of the water is good, so I continued to use the system. I then got new counter tops and planned on keeping the system, bought a an expensive new faucet for this system (and new sink and faucet.) When my plumber came to install those, he noticed that the mechanism into which the Everpure cartridge screws was leaking on the top. I figured he was mistaken until a few weeks later, I noticed a significant leak under my sink. At that point, I was stuck with this system, as everything else was now installed around it. So I ordered a new one. Maybe it will be better and the last was a lemon, but I was definitely not impressed and out a lot of money. Oh. And now I don’t dare install it myself, but need to pay the plumber close to $200 to do it (expensive metro area) and he didn’t have time when he came for something else. All around, a hassle.

Truly refreshing taste!The taste of the water is so much cleaner and fresher. I have only had it a month or so. It was recommended to me by a professional plumber and installed by him. It’s much more space efficient than older models that I have seen.
