NICE! Great With The Work Center Too!I first saw these in the catalog and thought – wow – that’s expensive! (Though Festools are expensive, what can you do—)I saw these stools in person at the Festool Training Center in Henderson NV. They had one rolling around the shop and I and other people used it to sit on. Its actually pretty comfortable and it rolls well. At the training center they also had the stool with the Festool Work Center attached (work center currently another $385.00, yeah yeah, I know!) now this is a cool setup. You get the mobility and capacity of the stool and workcenter this way, this is what I ended up setting up in my shop. Now I really want a second stool just to sit on.The stool is rugged and really HEAVY! Good casters, locking drawer on the bottom – if you have some extra cash I suggest (at least) one!The only thing I think is lacking a bit, at least on the stool I just received, is the seat cushion. Its like a firm formed Styrofoam piece. I thought the one at the training center was more cushion-y, like a gel seat kind of, but I don’t recall 100%. Anyhow, it does not matter to me right now as I am not using this stool to sit on… just wanted to mention it anyhow.

Thick Sheet Metal, Quality Casters.Only Festool can take something as simple as a stool and turn it into something special. The best aspect of this stool is the thickness of the sheet metal used; they were not aiming for economy when they specified this. It is very rigid and sturdy. When sitting on it you feel as thought you are sitting on a concrete block. The casters are good quality and made in Germany. They roll well and have a simple locking mechanism. The top edges and corners are covered in a rubber-like material to prevent damage from collisions. I had high expectations due to the price and the Festool name, but I was still pleasantly surprised.

High quality and great for bad feet.When I first saw this online and in the Festool catalogue, I thought it was one pricy rolling stool. After using one during a Festool class, I was sold. Having just come off of surgery on each foot, I loved being able to sit while in the shop.The casters are heavy duty and very smooth. The entire unit is well engineered and built to last. Add in the compatibility with the Workcenter and it’s a slam dunk.I highly recommend this for anyone with feet problems or who doesn’t want to develop feet problems.
