Doesn’t shake my house when I open the garage!I bought this to replace an ancient Craftsman door opener, and I’m stunned by how much quieter it is than the old one. It’s quieter than most of my battery operated power tools, for instance.Installation was a (relative) breeze. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only thing that was a pain for me was there’s a pipe going right across the middle of my garage and it was a pain to get the track over it, but that’s not the product’s fault.The remotes have a decent range on them, and the door panel is wireless so you can put it anywhere, and easy to pair with the base unit.All around it’s an excellent unit, and it was an outstanding upgrade for me.

Very quietThis door opener works very well. Installation took several hours. Used some of the old hardware. Needed to use Geenies motion detectors. Used the old wiring . Programming the individual car remote buttons is tricky. Got one done. Subaru recommends watching a specific video. Should be OK.

Works great; quiet, but make sure you add surge protector to your outlet.I actually got this as a replacement for an identical unit that stopped working. Went through all the diagnostics, and ended up it was a the control board. Called Genie, and of course, the unit was only a couple of months out of warranty. To buy the board, it’s ridiculously priced at $140, so makes no sense – just buy a new one. Now I have spare parts like the belt, remotes, etc. Afterwards, did some research, and found a lot of folks had issues after a power outage – the spike when the power comes back kills the board – hence, putting in the surge suppressor. Picked one up for $7 at Home Depot that fits nicely in the ceiling outlet, and glows to tell you it’s working.There was one difference in this unit over the previous one. The older unit had “close confirm” remotes which had an LED that blinked & beeped to confirm the door is closed – nice feature as I’m usually halfway down the block when I get the beep so don’t need to hang in the driveway. Luckily, the module from the old unit plugged into the new one, so I was able to use my old close confirm remotes.I believe this feature has been replaced by something they call Aladdin, but it’s not a standard feature on the opener like the close confirm was.So works great, but took away a star for electronics that can’t survive a power outage, and omitting the close confirm feature, although the price is still the same.

Silence is golden, what a wonder!Although not experienced installing garage door openers, the directions were easy to follow and the product is amazing! Quiet, easy to program in my car, and the outside keypad a great option for the kids! No more lost or misplaced remotes!
