Great System With Room to GrowI purchased this system to monitor my Mother’s house while she’s in rehab recovering from a broken hip. I have a larger system for my home and chose this product based on my personal experience with GW’s product quality, value, and awesome technical support.Setup and configuration was straight forward and simple for the NVR and the included cameras. I’m no stranger to pulling network wire and prefer hardwired PoE cameras over wireless due to the reliability and performance gain. I deducted one star due to the complexity (and ultimate failure) to add non-GW Security cameras to this system. I purchased two additional cameras that are ONVIF compatible and spent hours trying to get them added to this system.Tech support was happy to help, but it requires that I’m on-site to work directly with the NVR and the on-screen menus, which is difficult to coordinate due to her house being 60+ miles away tech support’s hours of availability. So…it’s not that they wouldn’t help or couldn’t figure it out…the issue is location, my work schedule, and their hours of availability.

Does the jobI am happy with this purchase but there were some issues. The hardware was straight forward. The cameras worked great and the video was good. The software is not easy to navigate. I was not able to record after set up. I did get through to tech support. The hard drive was not formatted but a few mouse clicks and it was. The tech support really was useful and supportive. The system software is menu based and displays lots of information. That makes it a little hard to navigate but it can be done. I followed the directions in the manual I downloaded and was able to set up the recording parameters with no additional assistance.I purchased this system because I was not able to find anyone who wanted to do this job. It is a small space. Two cameras are enough but I will probably add the remaining two at some point. I think those I contacted did not feel it was profitable enough. This system had some good reviews and all that I needed. It was easy to install as everything simply plugs in to something else. This product has more features than I need but it seems to do the job. It is a good value.

That it is backed by GW.support centerIt was extremely difficult to set up for A NOVICE like myself. But I was able to contact the GW support center and was greeted by a technician named Ed and he was extremely knowledgeable and helped me set it up correctly. 5 stars for Ed,

Easy setup.Really good. Repacing my Lorex system because dvr stopped working. GW was easy to set up with existing cat5 cables. Remote monitoring was also easy with Android, could not however get app to work on iPhone.

Great image quality AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!Decided to purchase this camera set for my home recently and was pleasantly surprised with how user friendly and clear the picture resolution is! Of course since I’m new to this whole security camera setup procedure I did get a bit confuse, so I called tech support and was assisted with an incredibly patient and professional Technician over the phone by the name of Arthur!! He was a great help and answered all my questions with great info and got my system up and running in no time without a headache! Great product and great help!! Will definitely order more when needed!
