This Hilmor Vacuum Pump 5CFM is the perfect pump for anyone who works with heating, ventilation and cooling systems. This device is lightweight, conveninet, and allows for hands-free carrying. The user-friendly oil change systems includes a sloped and channeled housing that drains oil quickly, easy access to a large oil fill pot, and a sight glass allowing for quick identification of oil levels. Blank-off valve seperates pump from the rest of the system, ensuring accurate vacuum readings and no loss of vacuum when changing the oil. The gase ballast removes moisture therefore prolonging the oil life. Can also be used in a variety of industrial settings. This model has been retooled to make evacuation as easy as possible. Details: 1/2 HorsePower, 120 Volts, 11 oz. Oil Capacity, 7.5 amps, 3440 RPM.

Great vacuum pump for hvacCompany won’t provide tools and said I need to provide everything for installs. Since it was coming out of my pocket, I wanted to buy something good that will last. I’ve been using this daily for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it. Combined with my dedicated Appion vacuum set up, most residential systems only take a few minutes to pull down to 300 or less. A faster pull down means I get to watch my decay longer without losing time. This is the vacuum pump to get if you need quality and value for your money

Quiet, seems well made, does what I wantFirst use today. Using it to evacuate a pressure vessel with wood immersed in oil(the final finish). Lovely foaming bubbles. Seems like it works fine. Quite quiet. I think it will turn out to be a quality tool. More in a couple of years.

Vacuum is a beast!The 9cfm is a beast! It pulls a good low micron vacuum in no time. If anything it’s over built which is great if you want a hard working piece that will last years. One tip, buy the carry strap. This thing is heavy but the hilmore strap is amazingly comfortable. I bring this thing up 3 story access ladders no problem and no sore sholder. Great vacuum pump!

Super quality vacuum pump!I cannot say exactly what vacuum was achieved using this pump since I was using a gauge graduated in 2″ increments, but I was able to pull down to no less than 29.8″ on a closed automotive system, twice today. Very well built, quiet, very little oil mist and only at first after starting. Does come with carrying strap. Blanking valve works nicely and unit is equipped with a super quality connection tree with all 3 standard sizes. Maximum vacuum was also achieved in less than 1 minute.

Short term reviewI was a little hesitant to get a 3cfm vacuum since all my tech buddies use 6 and up cfm.We’ll I only work residential and today I Vacuumed a 5 ton system today in like 20 minutes with 1/4 in hosesI’m a fan of hilmore for sure
