Great Looking ceiling fanI read reviews before buying this and was some of the negatives said the functions did not work. That is not my experience. The enclosed instructions did not get the wiring right for the blue cable with a single switch but I was able to google it. I installed three of these and the lights do dim on all three and it does have the correct speed settings. I don’t mind using the remote for all functionality since the remote has a holder and mounting options. I mounted mine right by the light switches and it’s just as easy as turning a light switch. Overall I am very pleased with the fans. They look sharp in my new space.

Gorgeous fan but it makes noise and special features don’t workI absolutely love the look of this fan and I want to give it a good review. But I’m so disappointed. It makes an awful humming noise – which of course you don’t know until after installation. It’s possible that this unit is defective but how do you get a replacement for something already installed in your ceiling? I can’t take it down or put the new one up and it’s not cheap to pay someone to do that – I already paid once. Also, the dimming feature on the lights does not work.UPDATE – I just got off the phone with Hunter customer service. I spoke with a very nice man who immediately set me up with a replacement fan. But buyer beware – their warranty does not cover labor so the install fees, both the first time to find out your fan is broken and the second time to uninstall the broken fan and the third time to install the replacement fan are all on you. Now I’m left deciding whether I want to live with the hum or pay for the replacement de-install and install. I find it very disappointing that a respected company like this would not stand behind their product all the way through install. If it was possible to determine there’s a defect before install I would understand, but since it’s impossible that should not be the buyer’s responsibility.

Good Looking FanSeems to move the air pretty good, but always starts at the highest speed when turn on. After about a month it no longer responds to the remote. I have not had a change to buy a new battery, but would have expected the original battery to have lasted longer, if that is the problem.
