Great helmet, albeit with some issuesSo, if you are like me and you are wondering “What is the difference between the black version of this and the half-naked redhead version as far as specs go?” The answer is nothing. Its essentially $60 cheaper for some reason for the same helmet.Would I prefer the black one? Sure. Walking around the jobsite with a half naked woman on your helmet is a little too old school and frowned upon by HR. However, this is nothing $5 worth of stickers didnt solve. And if I am being perfectly honest, the way she’s drawn kinda makes here come off as a dude (not that there is anything wrong with that she just has a strong chin).Viewport is large and clear. Its like night and day between my harbor freight special and this bad boy. 5/5 for clarity. Buttons are great, and I’m no longer flashing myself trying to figure out if im in grind mode or not.

JunkI’ve been welding for over 20 years and have never owned such a junk hood in my life! Turns off while I am welding. And when it does decide to stay on the auto off feature does not work! Don’t waste your money!

Great maskThis mask looks amazing, it’s also got a lot of nice features but it isn’t perfect.Viewing area is amazing, the buttons are all high-quality and easy to read, and once you strike an arc the visibility is incredible. The cons are it does not have an auto on function, it is dark enough off that it won’t totally arc flash you, but still wish it had this feature. The adjustment on the sides that set the flip down of the mask constantly adjust in my welding bag when move it around and need to be reset when I go to reuse the mask. The strap to set how far your head sits in the mask pops off easily as well, I taped it to my head height to stop that. And finally the mask is a little on the heavy side, probably due to the choice of batteries, which is great since they’re easy to replace, but I don’t find I need to replace my mask batteries anyways. All in all the few issues do not outweigh the performance of this mask, would buy again.

Great helmet, some little issues.I originally gave this helmet a 5/5 but Ive had to change my mind after using it for a while. Its definitely a great helmet but it has some flaws, and I guess thats why its not at the same price level as a Speedglas. Anyway, unless Im just super unlucky, the support sucks. The site doesnt list this helmet under their product registration, so getting warranty is tough, to say the least. The other issue is that there is a little gap between the helmet and the lens assembly. When welding overhead, slag can get stuck in that gap and then you just end up smelling burning plastic for the rest of the day lol. Not ideal but whatever. The adjustment on the right side always gets loose, so I have to constantly tighten it. Little things, but cant give it a 5. Price was pretty good and it does work very well. Very easy to use as well.
