Keeps stuff cold and is fairly quiet about it.My previous refrigerators have all been two door freezer on top style and this side by side is, for me, more difficult to organize. (maybe that will change given time). The dissatisfaction with organization is really my only gripe. Even though this fridge is bigger inside I feel as though the space is tighter and less convenient due to shelf height being lower and having to stoop over more often.This fridge is excellent at keeping items cold.It makes copious smallish pyramidal shaped ice cubes that are great for cooling down drinks.Its running noise level is about 42db which shouldn’t cause you to turn up the TV in open floor plans.The thru-the-door ice dispensing and water both work well

Works Great, Louder Than ExpectedI was surprised at how quickly Amazon could deliver and set up this new Kenmore side by side refrigerator. I checked Best Buy, Home Depot, Sears & Lowe’s after my old refrigerator quit. None could get me what I wanted within the next 2 months. Amazon got it to me in less than a week, $17 extra for install / set-up, and $30 extra to take the old fridge away. Deal! Side by side doors are not perfectly even, no more than 1/8″ off kilter, but they’re designed that way per directions, and are adjustable. Putting stuff in the fridge door is supposed to make it heavier to even it out. Filter is almost floor level, left side under the freezer. Water dispenser has a Replace Filter light that presumably comes on when the filter needs to be replaced. See pictures. Extra rack parts & ice tray were taped inside the fridge & freezer. The ice tray just had to be put into its enclosure, and is easy to get in and out. The other freezer parts were for the cross-rack on top, which ties into the pre-installed folding side rack on the right, supposedly for sideways frozen pizza boxes. When the rack was set up, it’s not an even, balanced rack, meaning the middle vertical piece is slightly taller than the stable horizontal rack on the left and the folding pre-installed rack on the right side. The rack cannot be modified, so I have to accept it is not going to be perfectly horizontally even across. Not a deal breaker. The main fridge has an extra see through plastic barrier that gets placed into one of 3 clear racks on the inside door to further divide the rack. I bought this refrigerator for the side by side with ice maker and 7 racks in the main fridge. The refrigerator makes much more noise than my last fridge (Whirlpool that lasted 16 years), but it’s a happy constantly humming noise and all is working well. Ice maker and water works well. Refrigerator and freezer both are very cold at the default middle temperature setting, also easy to adjust on the water dispenser display. I’m happy with the purchase, and happy with the quick delivery and install. Good value. I would buy it again.

Delivery and installationThe refrigerator works great. My problem is the damage the installers caused to my kitchen vinyl floor. There are two gouges that one of the installers noticed and actually took pictures and initiated the claim. Oh, Amazon offered $100 to repair the floor. What a let down. Where do you get someone to repair a vinyl floor for $100?????

Good basic fridge with water and iceWe are limited by the smallish space for a refrigerator in our 1960s kitchen. This unit replaces an only slightly smaller, very similar Kenmore side by side. I liked the icemaker and size of the icecubes , and adjustable shelves better in the old model, but neither was a dealbreaker. It was good to find a fit and not have to wait a long time to take delivery
