Stellar Customer Service, Good Product with a few design issuesThis review will include warrantee/service, build, installation, and design pros and cons.Service:Amazon shipped this with a scheduled hand-off delivery, no options for drop-off. One of the side doors looked like it was put together wrong (it wasn’t shipping damage) so got on Kohler’s site for tech support. There’s no email. So I just registered the product and decided to call support later. 2 months later, I called. First try got me a robo-message saying they couldn’t take my call because of call volume. That had me worried, but the second call, like 3 minutes later, got me human after a 5-10 minute wait. I explained the problem, they had my information from my registration, and they’re shipping me a replacement, no questions asked.5 stars for support.Build:The cabinet is basically 4, 4″ extruded aluminum beams mounted to a 30×40 mirror. There are two additional thick-vertical beams separating the two side doors, making it light and rigid. The side doors are plastic and wiring sandwiched between two mirrors. The center door is thinner than the side doors. Blum hinges make install and adjustment easy. The power bar is U-channel aluminum with the plug and transformers already attached and room for wiring and customizations to be added. Holes are made at the top and bottom of the side beams for passing wires.4 stars for build.Installation:Installation instructions are clear to understand and the process is a breeze. In wall mounting is easier, assuming you have the right sized hole, but surface mounting isn’t much harder than hanging a large using a cleat. One person can do all of this without help. The cabinet does not have a junction box or plugs for electric, so a surface mount is problematic if you want to install to code and also make it pretty. The back of the cabinet is glass so drilling a hole through the back to feed the wires directing into the power bar is not an option. I ended up running wires from the top and hiding the junction behind a plate.Design:”Verdera” must mean versatile in another language. All the doors can be reversed and flipped upside down. Hinges plates on the cabinet can be unscrewed and moves to the other side, the cabinet can be installed “upside down”. The power bar can installed high or low. There are downsides. That versatility comes at the cost of space efficiency. Wires for the doors are centered and need space to move, so the shelf they’re above cannot have much on it. The bar itself takes up a bunch of space. A more efficient design might have placed the wiring in the vertical U-channel walls but this would limit door placement flexibility, increase production costs, and complicated the install. The same goes for adding a junction box to the “top” or “bottom.”But all of this is done with 2 types of aluminum beams, 2 types of U-channel aluminum, 7 pieces of mirror, glass shelves, aluminum trim, some eclectic wiring and lighting, and come plastic parts and screws. I’d say it’s about 500$US in parts but it looks and feels really high end.Clearly, it’s all really well thought out.The Side Kit:Surface mount will look unprofessional if the sides are not covered. Plan to buy the kit or make your own. Since the side-kit was extra and only covers the sides, leaving the top and bottom aluminum exposed for view, I built my own using 40 x12 x 3/4 inch plywood, 2 screws, primer, and some paint. I also added touch sensitive LED underlighting as a convenience feature, hiding the transformer in the power bar and running the low voltage wires out the side hole and down to the light switch I routed into the bottom cover.I’d recommend this cabinet to anyone. It’s great looking and easy to install.I’d recommend rolling your own to anyone whose handy and has some basic tools (drill, saw, glass cutter, etc). Making one of these would be a Woodworking 102 level project.

Bright lighting, solid structureThe dimming lights are a very nice feature. The lights are bright enough to light a small bathroom. There is ample space for storage. For ease of installment, we chose an external mount. A flush mount installment would have required moving the framing and electrical wiring within our walls. To save space inside the cabinet, we chose to connect the lights from the top of the cabinet. The mirror arrived intact and covered well with plastic to prevent chips and scratches during transport.

Not all parts we needed were supplied. The finish for the outside if surface mounted was not offered we had to contact the company to buy that at an additional cost. It should have been offered as an addition if you wanted to surface mount the cabinet.

Great Looking and functional medicine cabinetBought this for a bathroom install and it’s exactly what I was looking for. Lots of storage inside, built in dimmable lighting, and looks really stylish in the new bathroom. I surface mounted the unit (too many pipes behind the wall) and it looks great. I did buy 2 matching side mirror accessories that cover sides during surface mount It is pretty heavy, so good to have 2 people for install. Definitely needs stud mount if not recessed. Highly recommend.

Sleek and beautiful!!!Love the look for our master bathroom remodel.Love the slow close doors and the magnifying mirror as well. Love the dimming led lights which are super bright when needed. I wanted the medicine cabinet so I would not have any counter clutter.

My splurge purchase for my bathroom remodel. This is well made. However I suggest you have electrician install it. It surpasses my expectation on lighting. I have it on a dimmer and can adjust the light according to the task at hand and it is a great night light too.

beautiful cabinet minus the issuesi don’t like how the side doors open. the screws for attaching the wire and receptacle covers were very difficult to put in. the glass shelving is nice, but difficult to install because the doors had to be removed. the mirrors never seem to get clear when cleaning. bottom line the cabinet is beautiful

Looked ok on the outside…So I left closed until the contractor was ready to install. When opened the inside glass was shattered. Between the “intelligent” toilet and the mirror cab, I got three broken toilets and one broken cabinet.Really Kohler, is this the best you can pack for shipping? After spending almost twenty grand on Kohler fixturing I don’t feel like I got a luxury experience in the least. Very disappointed in you.
