Constructed from premium 16 or 18 gauge T-304 stainless steel for maximum durability, the extra-deep basins accommodate large dishes with ease. All Kraus kitchen sinks are equipped with top-level soundproofing, including thick rubber dampening pads. Each sink is additionally treated with protective Stone Guard coating, which reduces condensation and further dampens sound. The corrosion-resistant surface is further protected from rust and oxidation by a meticulous finishing process. Nice sinkWhen buying a sink, I discovered that 50/50 doubles must be very popular because the delivery dates were weeks away at the big box stores. Amazon delivered quickly with the best price on this model.I like the 8″ depth. It’s deep enough that you don’t need a tall faucet to fit big pots. It’s also has a large enough surface area to fit my 9×13 pans and frypans flat in the sink.The stainless steel grates are wonderful. There are little plastic feet to keep it from marking the sink and the hole is right on top of the drain. And is the grate ever flat! You can fill a bottle and it doesn’t even try to tip.Now, about stainless steel. Somehow I missed the part about having to wipe it dry every time you use it to keep it nice and shiny with no water spot stains. That’s a pain. Several months later: But I’ve since discovered that wiping it with a small amount of vegetable oil on a paper towel does a great job and leaves it so shiny. I’ve also discovered that wiping it dry once a day works just as well as wiping it every time.I’ve never raved about packaging before, but this comes in a great box. Really sturdy with a lift off lid. It’s a keeper.

Basket Strainer and Drain Assembly PLASTICYes, the sink is nice quality and fit perfectly into 33″ sink base cabinet. I’ve had it for six months without an issue. Packaging was the best I’ve seen. My one issue is that for an item that professes to be high quality and a premium experience, I was surprised to see the basket strainer and drain assembly are inexpensive plastic. One of the reasons I bought the “set” is because it had everything…ended up spending more money to upgrade the strainer and drain assembly. Amazon or manufacturer should update description to accurately describe what you’re getting.

QualityHave had for 5 months now . Some discoloration at bottom of the sinks , not as shiny as it original came. Would probably looked more if I had the time but needed a sink right away for a kitchen remodel . It’s deep and the sound prevention is good . It’s a beautiful sink . My first time with stainless steel . Maybe this coloration is normal.

LOVE LOVE LOVE our sinkLOVE LOVE LOVE our sink. Sturdy, quality-made. NOT a cheap stainless sink. LOVE all of the parts, especially the sink-hole cover that is a strainer. No more digging for mushy bread or food that didn’t go down (and went in the non-disposal side). Ordered ours “secondhand” from Amazon Warehouse and were VERY pleased, had one very minor scratch, and it was covered when we undermounted the sink anyway. Got a Kraus faucet too. Loving the quality of this brand.
