Every Makita Lithium-Ion Power Tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory. If you are not satisfied with any Makita Lithium-Ion tool within 30 days of purchase, return it and Makita will provide, at Makita’s option. Each Makita Lithium-Ion Power Tool, Battery and Charger is designed to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for the period of Three Years from the date of original purchase. Should any trouble develop during the three-year period for the Lithium-Ion Power Tool, Battery and/or Charger, return the Complete Power Tool, Battery and/or Charger, freight prepaid, to one of Makita’s Factory or Authorized Service Centers.
If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita will repair (or at our option, replace) without charge.

Great giftThis was purchased as a gift, and my son is thrilled with it. I was glad it arrived 5 days before the earliest listed, so it got here in time for his Birthday. I do not know the specifics as battery life etc, but I know he was happy to get it, so it must be good, he does do research on things, and that is the one he wanted.

Perfect for our Orchard & Tree RootsWe maintain a productive orchard that is part of an Agroforestry system. We have to cut and trim trees all the time! We had originally looked at the 36v version of this saw, but being that we use this saw EVERY WEEK, the thought of that extra weight seemed awful. We do have lots of 36v cordless tools, like our 36v chainsaw that is GREAT, but for our orchard where we are frequently using this over our head, the 18v was absolutely the way to go. First off, the battery does last much longer than you’d expect, and it’s no problem carrying a second one in the farm truck. Second thing, this 18v saw works incredibly well AND fast! I can’t think of why we would even need a 36v saw for pruning trees. We have also got some blades for severing tree roots, and that has worked much better than expected in helping us get stumps out of the ground. A few cuts of the larger tree roots and the tractors pulls those stumps out with ease. We used to use hand pruning saws and small chainsaws, but this saw has changed everything, and you can’t effectively use those saws very well on tree roots. I love not having to carry gas cans or breathe the chainsaw fumes! I can’t even imagine how we’d maintain the farm without one of our most-used tools! We have put this saw through the ringer and have dropped it from on-high many times; it still continues to run! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Love this toolOne battery so it’s not too heavy like some items to take two. Very powerful it cuts right through rebar and PVC pipes and roots all at the same time. Don’t know what to say I love this and I buy it again in a second

This one is SMOOTH and cuts very QUICK!I use it for new construction (residential). This replaced my cordless Makita zaw saw, trigger overheated from heavy uses. Order it on Friday and received it on the next day, it was ready for use on monday. During use, this Makita has a nice sound to it and cuts very fast! I was able to cut out 2×4 stud nailed in the wall with the 1/2″ sheathing exterior without cutting into the 1/2″ sheathing. Because of the control it gave me on speed, Very impressed!
