Description
The Metabo HPT C10FSBS 10-inch sliding dual compound Miter saw offers the ultimate in form and function for trim carpenters, framers and woodworkers.
The positive stops on the miter and bevel scales make for easy-to-read measurements and quick settings.
With a 45 degree dual bevel angle range, users can quickly flip the saw blade and leave the material in place.
The linear ball bearing slide system and white on black miter scale provide superior accuracy and visibility.
Electronic speed control keeps RPM’s constant and unintended cuts are avoided with the electric brake feature.

Often replicated but never duplicated. This is still a Superior Saw if you’re interested in accuracy. Everything is centered over the head of the saw. There is no ham fisted D-handle which invariably racks the head. There’s no bells whistles or spinners. It’s not a saw for an apprentice. The glory comes from knowing when you make a cut it will be true and precise whether you work from the left or the right. I bought this $419 saw and trashed one cost $1,000. It was the best decision I ever made.

Packaging is not the best for the way it arrivedThe angle cuts and the plumb cut was off. So after some time I have it perfect the way I imagined it would be. But I really like this saw the D handel is most comfortable. Also I must like this model it’s my 3rd one. No fault of the tool that it’s my 3rd one operator error 😬

Great saw but ONE BIG FLAW FOR CONTRACTORSWhats good??? I was blown away how dead on accurate this saw was out of the box. Checking with Woodpeck and BridgeCity squares it needed no adjustments. I love the zero clearance bracket which is very clever as it keeps the blade stable vertically. You can also adjust the bottom to almost a zero clearance also. The bad!!!! This saw has only mounting holes in the front of its base and they are towards the middle vs the outside feet. There are NO REAR MOUNTING BOSSES??? How do you attach this to any stand? When you only bolt down the front of course it tips forward as the Bench feet don’t contact the stand mounts because again the bolt bosses are in the middle vs the outside.Great saw although the fence is short compared to the Dewalt. Also the LS miter is only 45 not 50 or 60. Only the RS goes to 50. Dewalt and is 60 on both I believe. No I have to find a way to jury rig a rear mount as returning this would be near impossible. If you are using on a home bench its a great deal. If you need to be mobile unfortunately this is a no go. What 10″ saw doesn’t have rear mounting bosses???After using the saw another big issue is the fence in regards to bevel cuts. First you blow apart your zero insert plate as for some reason it doesn’t cut it just explodes when set to bevel. Then the RS fence needs to be taken off to do any bevel cuts. Problem is you are left with a 1″ high fence? How do you cut crown molding? Th eLS fence also has to be folded vs removed but you are left with a generous 2″ fence and yes I am being sarcastic. If you are doing crown molding this saw is a nightmare. There is zero excuse as Dewalt nd Makita both have motor and blade guard go around fence. If it wasn’t such a pain it would be returned. A compound bevel saw that can’t even do 3″ crown unless you do it on th flat or with a jig.

Still a great sawI have used this model saw ever since 2002 when Hitichi made it. It was at the time the BEST saw on the market, hands down. Will that saw died and I replaced it with this one. Identical saw, just the plastic is just a bit thinner then the old one.Everything on the saw ( the bevel lock and zore stop) is easy to reach and work. Like the title says ” Still a great saw”

Pleasantly surprised of the qualityI received my saw today ,was worried about the quality being made in China now..but I’m Hitachi at heart !So opening the box I was presently surprised at the quality..was way better than expected…After a few minutes of going over the saw checking everything for being square it was perfect out of the Box (saw its self) but a few of the angle pointers I had to put on Zero ..no big deal that’s expected anyhow…Plugged it in ran nice and smooth the saw slide perfect that’s the money of these saws compared to DeWalt …My other saw was 20 years of everyday on the job site finally replaced it ..the old one was $1100 a lot of money back then…this one is relatively cheap in comparison hopefully I get a few good years out of it ..But if you are hesitant to buy one of these and thicken the quality isn’t the same very minut differences I strongly suggest you pick one up
