Metabo HPT VB3616DA 36V cordless portable rebar bender/cutter (4.0Ah x 2 + charger) is the industry’s first cordless rebar bender and cutter, offering excellent cutting and bending performance for increased worksite efficiency. The VB3616DA is based upon the popular AC powered bender/cutter, VB16Y. The VB3616DA’s cutting and bending performance is equal to or greater than that of the VB16Y thanks to its DC fan-cooled brushless motor and ultra-capable MultiVolt 4.0 Ah battery. This tool can be cordless with the 36V battery or corded when paired with the AC adapter (ET36AM sold separately).

general –
IF YOU’RE LOOKING AT THIS- YOU NEED IT!!All I can say is I regret not having one of these many years ago. Though it seems like another expensive handheld tool/drill/saw etc.- it isn’t. This tool impressed us so much we ordered another one. We were able to bend stirrups, square ties fully enclosed cages, and you can measure your bend lengths easily and precisely. It blows me away how great this tool is. Hitachi/Metabo tools have always impressed me but I’m speechless how great this is. It’s pretty heavy so don’t think that it’s going to break after a few bends. I could see this machine in daily use lasting years. It’s heavily geared with low gear ratio. Also cuts like butter. We stand it up on end and slip the bars through.Great tool for small jobs, pre-fab & bending on site. Forget about any kind of hand bender once you have this machine in hand you’ll know exactly what I mean… you won’t regret it.

Great toolWish I had bought one years ago. So much easier and faster than a hand cutter / bender. Paid for itself on the first couple of jobs. If you do a lot of concrete work you need this tool.

Bend a littleWe use this cutter/bender on the rebar thar goes in the foundation’s and other flat concrete work. It is lite weight and very easy to use.

Gift for the wifeMy wife and I are in the process of building our home and I bought this so she could help with the rebar.Honestly great product, easy to use and effective.Cost is high but it cuts and bends something that my 12in demo-saw doesn’t do. AND there isn’t a fear of sparks starting a fire.I was able to cut and bend 256 48”x12” #4 dowels in 2hrs using this tool. Ya it costs too much money but with the lack of available labor its worth it.
