Only 5 Ton HooksUnboxing:- The pieces are dinged up and marked a bit, and it needed some cleaning up- The chain is black powder coated, not galvanized, and there was a lot of black greasy powder to clean off- The bottom hook bearing was not greased, so I greased it, and the clutch mechanism could also use some lubrication.- Some of the nuts also needed to be tightened.- One bolt had some slightly stripped threads, but not bad enough to be too much of an issue.There are a few issues with the product description and things I would have liked to have clarified:- The hooks are stamped for 5 Tons, not 6 Tons- For the 20ft version, the total weight is about 97 lbs (using a bathroom scale), not 60 lbs- Even though the description says there is only 20ft of chain in the 20ft lift version, there is actually 40ft looped back on itself, allowing for the 20ft lifting height- The chain is 3/8″, but I could not verify that it is Grade 80Overall, I think it is a good value for money – much cheaper than other options, but still functional. I wouldn’t trust it near it’s limit in potentially dangerous situations as much as I would something like a Jet JLP, but this one is about 1/5th of the cost.

Great hoist, but packaging needed improvementIt’s a high quality item. It weights a ton and can lift a few tons. Sadly the shipping container wasn’t protective enough and it arrived partially defective and wouldn’t hoist even a cmu block without binding down on itself. I think it was dropped since the box was badly destroyed (covid shipping quality perhaps). The seller was easy to deal with and assured me they would correct the shipping materials for the future customers. Overall I’d say it’s a great item, just be sure to check it quickly in case of any damage in transit. 4 stars on packaging since it is such a large and heavy item, but customer service was stellar and the item seems like it’s durable enough to lift anything in the weight ratings.

It is what it isAnything cheap from China is either total garbage or what I call a “kit”. Meaning, it’s half way done compared to a USA version that costs 3 times more. You half to disassemble it, remove all the grease and grit out of it before it’s good to go. Yes the hooks say 5 tons, but 5 metric tons is slightly more than 11,000 lbs. It’s easy for me to say I’d buy it again but time will tell if it’s a kit version of a copied American design or cheap junk.

Good valueFasteners holding the main handle and wheel ratchet need lock washers or loctite as they backed off while operating unit.

Will get the job doneSeems well built for $150. Does have only 5 ton hooks. Ratchet needs help with no load on it. First job is to pull a 25,000lbs motorhome up a hill. Using a tree as the wench point. Chain uses black oxidation for protection. Did have some dents from shipping. Just cosmetic though. Data sheet in attached pictures.

Ended up returningSomething was defective where it doesn’t hold the load when lowering, I’m sure it could be a simple fix but not worth trying to fix and being unsafe. Easy to return.

Not put together well but worksIt’s huge and does work but it requires some work as the sweat shop these are clearly made in does not care about its products.Chain was installed with 2 twists so I had to take apart and fix that.Box was destroyed and water loggedMissing three 10-32 screws (surprised it was not metric)Clutch doesn’t work wellIt is huge and works so it’s worth the effort to put it together

Heavy dutyThis is heavy duty. And weighs over 70 lbs. It will pull what ever you hook to. It took a little time to familiarize myself with its functions. I’m used to the one ton wire type. This is a beast entirely using chain.
