Description
Panasonic designs DC ceiling exhaust fans that not only produce maximum airflow, but also remove air impurities from your home while operating at whisper-quiet audio levels. The Panasonic FV-1115VQ1 WhisperCeiling DC bathroom fan comes from a line of time-tested and customer approved quiet, yet powerful and energy efficient vent fans. This precision spot ventilation solution improves IAQ by effectively removing moist, polluted air from your bathroom, laundry room, sun room, basement or garage. When Panasonic FV-1115VQ1 WhisperCeiling DC fan senses static pressure, its speed is automatically increased to ensure optimal CFM output.
The built-in Pick-A-Flow speed selector provides the unique ability to select your desired airflow (110-130-150 CFM) with the flip of a switch. The Flex-Z Fast installation bracket with articulating joints is ideal for positioning the fan exactly where you want it, in old or new construction. An integrated dual 4-inch or 6-inch duct adapter gives greater flexibility in duct layout and design.
Panasonic ventilation fans are ENERGY STAR certified. Panasonic fans use less energy, move larger volumes of air and run cooler, which means they last longer. The motors are equipped with a thermal-cutoff fuse, greatly reducing the likelihood of overheating and motor failure. Achieve quality air and energy efficiency with whisper-quiet sound levels for your spaces with Panasonic FV-1115VQ1 WhisperCeiling DC fan.

Wow this is quiet and moves a lot of air! This is my second high end Panasonic fan. My first fan is now 7+ years old and has performed perfectly since it was installed. When my 20+ year old Broan fan started vibrating and getting louder and vacuuming it didn’t help, I went back to Panasonic and purchased this FV-1115VQ1 when it was on a deep sale at Amazon (discounted $80+).I paid someone else to install it and it took him a while (he faithfully followed all of the instructions) so I can’t comment on the installation but I’m extremely happy with the fan. This fan had a bigger footprint than the fan that was originally there but the installer used the provided template to cut the new larger hole in the ceiling and it went in without a hitch and seated perfectly against the drywall with no gaps that needed to be sealed. This fan is whisper quiet; you can barely hear it when it’s on and this with it set to its default 130 CFM setting. It’s so quiet that a real problem with this fan is that you’ll forget to turn it off because you can’t hear it unless the room is very quiet. With my earlier Panasonic fan, I wired up a switch that lit up red when it was on to remind my kids that it needed to be turned off and I might do the same with this one.As you can imagine, at 130 CFM it moves a lot of air and humidity is not a problem in the bathroom.I used 6″ insulated flex duct from Home Depot to vent the fan and it works perfectly and I shouldn’t have issues with condensation. If you’ve installed this and the fan isn’t whisper quiet for you then you should look at your ductwork; is it 6″ duct? Did you install it so the duct goes straight for a couple of feet before slowly curving towards its destination? If you install the duct correctly the fan should have very little pressure to fight against.

Excellent airflow, extremely quietMy only dislike is that the writeup seemed to indicate a 6″ to 4″ adapter was provided. It is not. Some have mentioned the delay when you turn on this unit. It is a DC fan motor connected to a controller. A minimal time 2sec until the fan starts turning, then it ramps up, while measuring the static pressure to optimize the speed. It is sooo quiet that if you don’t have the grille off, you may think there is a much longer delay.I am not able to increase my 4″ duct size, which some suggest. That will come with the next remodel. However, I did optimize the existing run. I set this unit to max cfm(150). It does a fantastic job on my 150sq’ bathroom. Not a hint of moisture on the mirrors. This was a remodel situation, and I really love the z bracket for this. Highly recommend.

Does not pull any more C F M than a simple $50 bath fan way over pricedNot worth the money Over priced $50 bath fan does just as good

It really is super quietOur bathroom didn’t have one so I installed this Panasonic fan. Super super quiet. Just a tip to avoid making too big a hole in the ceiling: The hole should not reveal any sides of the bracket. I vented out a frieze block because we have a hip roof (no gable wall), concrete roof tiles (didn’t want to cut tiles and seal roof), and open eaves (no soffits).

Noice level is extremely low.If you want an exhaust fan that works great and could barely hear it when it’s in use get yourself this fan.

Delay to start the fan, normal or not?I just installed it one day. It is more quite than Panasonic previous model. However, I found it took few seconds delay to start the fan when turn it on. I am quite wondering it is normal or not?Additionally, the fan can work with normal on/off switch, but not Lutron countdown timer. My previous Panasonic fan connected to the same timer and it worked few years already. Anyway after a couple of trials, I am looking for other compatible countdown timers now because I don’t want to take more time to uninstall the fan to return

Fabulous Fan: A+!Wow, you get what you pay for-if you are lucky. This fan is a beauty…..speed shifts on its own for difficult ducts…..and does it quietly.Used it with a 4″ duct run with 6″ coming off it straight for the first 2ft before the bend…..and it worked better than advertised.Installation a breeze because this thing is well thought out and clearly designed by someone who has actually done the job before.Superbly engineered and built-dripping quality.Just buy it!Super value—I will never use another type…..this one is perfection.

Its performance Is excellent. I installed it in a 120sqft bathroomThis fan blew my mind when I turned it on. It is extremely quiet. You can’t hear it over the shower water. Its performance Is excellent. I installed it in a 120sqft bathroom, set the fan to 150cfm and now there is no steam during hot showers and the mirror stays free of condensation. I did run new 6″ duct to the roof vent instead of reducing the fans 6″ outlet to my existing 4″ duct. Installation wasn’t super easy but out also wasn’t super hard. Just took some time. I would definitely recommend this fan. I am very pleased with my purchase.
