Key Benefits

A Rheem tankless heats water only when you need it, so it uses less energy than a tank-type model.

Rheem tankless water heaters save money by using energy only when hot water is needed.

Rheem tankless gas models reduces water waste when the built-in water saving setting is enabled.

Rheem indoor tankless water heaters are small and compact, saving you valuable space in your home.

Saves Energy

Heats water only when you need it, so it uses less energy than a tank-type water heater; and it produces less greenhouse gas emissions, making this a sustainable choice.

Saves Money

By using less energy, these tankless water heaters can save you on expensive operating costs compared to a standard 50-Gallon gas tank-type water heater.

Saves Water

As part of Rheem’s sustainability commitment, our tankless gas water heaters include a Water Savings Setting. When this setting is enabled, water waste is reduced by up to 1,100 gallons per year*

* Based on Department of Energy (DOE) test procedures

Saves Space

Rheem indoor condensing tankless gas water heaters are small & compact – saving you valuable space in your home. They can easily be wall-mounted in tight spaces – like in a utility closet, attic, or storage room – and only need ½” clearance on both sides.

Rheem tankless indoor models are powerful, energy efficient, and provide continuous hot water.

10 reviews for Rheem Prestige High Efficiency 9.5GPM Indoor Natural Gas Tankless Water Heater

Love but it’s definitely a big install jobThe media could not be loaded.

This definitely got our water hotter faster than our 40 gallon gas water heater we had before. It took 4 full days of work, including plumbing in the crawl space and drilling a hole through the roof for venting. Be prepared to this work or to pay for it. By the time we paid for all the tools and extra material needed, that was an additional $350ish so keep that in mind if you don’t know that you have the tools needed! We are very excited about this as a space saver & we were told by the assessor that came to our home that these do raise the home value in our area (central IL) so big bonus! We have 2 bathrooms and about 1700 sqf currently.

Product was damaged when arrived. The front panel was damaged when it arrived. Looked like it had been dropped several times.

Product is damagedOpened to install and front panel is damaged

I love this water heater.I replaced a Noritz tankless that we had installed 13 years ago. Installation was fairly straightforward although I had a bit of a challenge routing the condensate drain line. I would have given 5 stars except that the front cover was bent on arrival even though the shipping box was undamaged. In fairness to Rheem, I have not contacted them to give them a chance to make it right.

Great unit, save space. What can I say, it is perfect for my home in bay area where spaces is money. Have thus unit in with an UPS and it will be up at all time. To get to 140 f press and hold on the up until it bling then press the down simultaneously to get to 140. I have 3 bathroom and 2 kitchen and we never have an issue with hot water on this unit.

This was an Open Box ItemDescription said “NEW” no where did it say “open box” or reconditioned or refurbished in the description. The box was taped shut and it’s obvious it had been opened before, control panel is already attached, the metal body has a dent in it and the packaging with manuals were just thrown in the box.I have to install it this week and hope it works ok, if it does I’ll edit my review but still disappointed that it was not the new unopened product advertised.

GreatGreat purchase. It works as indicated.

STAY AWAY!! UNRELIABLE and NOT WORTH THE EXPENSEFirst of all, a plumber convinced me to install this thing (Noritz NCRDVNG. It’s an absolute piece of garbage. You will NOT save on your energy and water bills because it will take this thing FOREVER to get hot water to your faucets. I have to have a recirculating pump installed; our home is on a septic tank and just can allow gallons and gallons of water to run into it; plus water is costly in California. Now the CONSTANT error messages. We constantly get error message 122 on this thing and it just shuts down–no hot water. The plumber has replaced the ignitor, but still this error code. I have installed high flow fixtures on my showers because it was suggested that water flow could cause the ignitor to fail to ignite the flame. Finally, the unit is installed in an interior utility closet where my furnace is. The furnace is not very loud at all when it lights; some call it white noise. But this water heater sounds like a TRUCK when it comes on to take forever to heat the water. The utility closet is off our family room, which sometimes doubles as an extra bedroom. It’s not easy to sleep when this TRUCK fires up.You should also know that Noritz customer services agents are “jerks” with a CAPITAL “J.” They simply put all of the issues on you the homeowner and the plumber. I can’t wait to get this thing out of my house. I am into 0ver $6000, but I am shopping for a plumber to install the regular tank-type water heater like I had before. My Rheem was by FAR much more reliable.STAY AWAY FROM THIS THING!

Find a different one.It worked great for 6 months and then failed. The problem is it would only run for a minute and then it the flame would shut off, displaying an error code 13 and continuously beep.Rheem tech support was responsive but couldn’t fix it over the phone. They sent a plumber over at no expense to deal with it but he was over his head on this. The day he came over it decided to work properly so it was tough to trouble shoot. The day after he left it failed.Rheem sent over a more experienced fellow who determined it was a bad circuit board. The issue is this is very common place with this tankless. They’re overnighting a replacement board and in a few days a new plumber will be here to install it.If you do buy one get an extended warranty.I purchased the propane version of this on November of 2021. (It was manufactured though in 2019.)
