Floodlight ProI bought this so I can monitor how much my two Great Dane dogs bark. I had complaints from two specific neighbours that claimed they bark non stop. I’ve found out that is not the case. What I really like about this is how loud I can talk thru this cam. When I put the voice level up full it is very loud. My dogs stop barking when they hear my voice commands. Picture quality is exellent both day and night. The floodlights are really bright. I will be using them when I BBQ at night.

Amazing QualityI was able to install the cameras in about 15 minutes each. The wifi connected fairly quick despite having a weak signal in the front of the house. Once I switched from the home wifi network to the Ring Chime wifi extender, I haven’t lost the signal to either camera. The night infrared works very well and the cameras have an incredibly wide field of view, which can be adjusted from the app settings. I plan on buying two more of these cameras for the side and back yard.

Great flood lights and camera.I need to start off by saying we are a ring family. We have a lot of Ring products in and outof the house.I bought this floodlight and camera to replaceThe first generation blood lights and camera that wepurchased I believe it’s five years ago. This new one is a gem it does everything it says it does add more.I just love it. I have four flood lights and cameras around the house outside,This is the newest one like I said I just love it. I highly recommendThis unit to everyone. Great for the price can’t do much better. Have a great day.Stay healthy and safe.

Super satisfied with the experienceI recently purchased this camera which was an addition to the two other older models I have. I was impressed with the quality, but disappointed when I installed it only to find that the speaker was bad. I called customer service, and they took care of it. Some basic troubleshooting over the phone lead to the unit needing to be replaced. They said they would send a replacement within 5-7 days…but I received it in 2! I replaced the bad one with the new one, and it was all good! Not only is the ring interface easy to use when you have multiple devices like the ring, and other cameras connected. But the customer experience was fantastic as well. This was the first time that I’ve had to actually contact them and I’ve been using ring products for over 6 years now!

Finally got it installedI bought this on Prime Day and finally replaced our patio flood light with it. I did the install myself which was pretty straight forward. It comes with lots of extra screws for most scenarios. Once I had it mounted, linking it to the wifi and then the ring app was all very smooth. I already pay for a ring subscription for two cameras and this one makes our third. I like the new subscription model that is based on location so there was no additional monthly cost for the camera. Image and video is excellent and the motion detection works really well. I zoned off just the patio area, but could change it to the whole backyard if we are away on vacation. At night, the light is super bright. I feel like the whole yard is lit up with the light which i really like. We will see how it holds up, but so far we are very happy with it.

Great picture and rangeI actually purchased 2 of these. I decided to hardwire ao I didn’t have to worry about charging. The installation went easy for the 1st unit since I just removed an old motion light. The second, due to my placement preference, I am having installation done by an electrician to be safe.I would purchase again.

Great productThis floodlight and camera work great. It does need to be hardwired, so budget for the cost of an electrician. The floodlight is not as bright, as I expected. However, it is bright enough to deter a trespasser ( I hope ). The Ring app is very good. There are many options for customizing the camera functions.

Like this cam, but had to replace…I had purchased this Ring Wired Pro Camera about 14 months ago, and really like it. Easy installation, replacing the flood lights that came with my house. Great picture and sound, and the perfect way to check on the vehicles in my driveway. However, about a month ago, I noticed the plastic lens cove started to peel away from the camera, allowing water to get in behind it. I dried it out and applied a little Gorilla Glue on the edge to seal it back up. It worked well for a while, but this week, I started getting water back in, and it totally knocked out the camera to where nothing worked with it. I couldn’t get the lens cover off again ( good endorsement for Gorilla Glue) so I ended up buying this one to replace it. Used the existing hardware, so it took literally 5 minutes to take off the old one and put the new one up. I just hope that this new camera will last longer than the first one did. Only time will tell.So if the camera holds up for more than a year, this is a 5 star product, if not, it’s not worth the money to have to replace it every year or so.**Edit**Back to 5 stars…After posting my review, Ring reached out to me to find out more about the issue with the camera. They sent out a replacement, in exchange for getting my defective one back so they can figure out what went wrong. Brett from Ring went above and beyond to help me get a solution to my problem. I like to see a company stand behind their product, and make things right. It goes a long way to maintain loyalty to their product. I would not hesitate purchasing more Ring products for around my home.

These need improvement on the detection side…I’ve been using Ring’s wired floodlight cameras for many years, and decided to upgrade from spotlight cams, to floodlight cams on my vacation home. Overall I’ve been happy with the older generation floodlight cams, so I assumed the “pro” version had to be better. I was wrong. The motion detection on the newly installed floodlight can pros I replaced my spotlight cams with, is definitely not as good as the older versions. I miss so many events, because the “smart alerts” do not pick up people, unless they are within just a few feet of the cameras. I’ve turned off the Birds Eye view, thinking that may help, but it did not. I currently have the motion sensitivity all of the way up, and it still does not detect people, unless they are almost touching the cameras. I get alerts when I set the smart alerts to alert me when the smart alerts are set to notify me of ALL motion, but that’s not helpful. The previous spotlight cams detected people flawlessly. I figured that maybe it was a connection issue, so I installed a chime pro, and it increased the signal strength to the cameras, but the cameras already showed good signal before the chime was installed. The chime increased the strength by a few points, but still did not help with detection. I recently upgraded two ring doorbell pro’s, with the newest version, and they seem to have the same motion detection issues the new floodlight cams have. There’s just no happy medium with the motion settings. You either get endless, useless alerts, or none at all. Hopefully Ring remedies this soon, through a firmware update. As it stands now, I’m pretty disappointed in these cameras, and wish I’d have just left the old spotlight cameras and doorbells up.

More like a strobe light than flood lightWe bought several of these for use at our newly built home. Everything seemed to be working great until it got dark enough for motion to start triggering the lights. Once that happened all the lights are turning on and off every 30 seconds. There’s no way to adjust the sensitivity for the lights like there is for the camera. There’s also no way to force the lights to turn on only when a person is detected. I’ve had to completely turn off the motion setting for lights, so now we have manual lights instead of motion lights.Edit: I was able to set up a routine that allowed the flood light to turn based on detecting a person. It has to be done individually for every light but it works well once done. Added 2 stars to my review
