Description
The Spectra Precision LT52G Laser Tool is an automatic self-leveling multi-purpose tool that can be used in a wide variety of construction applications. Ultra-bright green laser beams make it ideal for use in bright ambient light conditions. It eliminates the need for a contractor to purchase two tools – a 5-beam pointer and a crossline laser – by combining both into one versatile product. For interior building and remodeling, the laser is used for horizontal and vertical alignment, wall layout, point transfer up and down, tiles, finish carpentry, and 90 degree squaring. The lines and points generated by the green beam lasers are the brightest in the industry. The rugged design includes overmolding and can withstand drops up to 3 feet. A transportation lock is provided to protect the compensator during transport. Package includes the laser, magnetic wall bracket, laser target and glasses, charger and hard-shelled carrying case.

If you looking for something better than Dewalt’s +/-1/8″ accuracySince I did not want my pencil to roll off my shelf I was installing with a laser with +/1 1/8″ accuracy, I did a lot of research looking for a more accurate Green laser lever that would not break the bank. I only found two: Leica and Spectra. The others were much more money. The Spectra unit has an accuracy of about 1/16″ over 30 feet (but the laser line is that wide anyway) and was about $350. It can provide 2 self leveling cross lines or 5 dots. Both systems very useful. Outdoors in the sun, I lost sight of the line at about 20 feet but at night or indoors I about 50 feet. It came in a sturdy plastic case with battery recharger and laser glasses. I have had it for about a year and am very pleased. Remember to lock the mirror when not in use. You will need to get a tripod. I use my camera tripod.

Excellent choice for leveling interior floors and placing wallsVery bright and easy to see doing interior work without frying the old retinas. Had another less expensive unit that gave me a headache within minutes but was not visible beyond 15 feet. Appreciate rechargeable feature but need to remember to plug it in every night. Also own a rotary laser with receiver and starting to think that I could get a receiver for this unit and sell the rotary.Drawbacks: the down pointing spot is close to the case and had to notch my tripod so it would hit the ground. The case screw holes are the same diameter as the charge port and it is easy to stick the the charging jack into a screw hole in the dark at the end of a long day.

Up to youIt’s a great product but it does die after about 4 months of use. Very precise but for the quality not great.

INSTRUCTION MANUALTHIS TOOL IS VERY GOOD BUT COMES WITH VERY POOR INSTRUCTIONS AS TO GETTING THE MOST OUT OF IT. THE GREEN LIGHT IS VERY BRIGHT. IT LEVELS NICELY BUT THEN STARTS FLASHING! WHY? WHEN SHOULD I USE THE DOT INSTEAD OF THE LINE. THE COMPANY VIDEO ON YOUTUBE ISN’T VERY HELPFUL EITHER

It’s a high quality level…I am a general contractor and I must say that this laser level is a must have. It is a high quality level at a great price! The output is bright even outside here in sunny Maui. The 5 alignment points are very useful too. It blows away the ones I’ve bought, tried and returned…10′ and the laser beam disappears. Not so on this one. One of my workers is so impressed that he is buying one too.

Best line/dot laserWe have purchased and used several different lasers, Leica, Dewalt, Bosch, but the Spectra green line/dot laser has been the best. Accurate, easy to see, long range and has held up well.
