You won’t be cleaning the siding on the second story of your house with this without a ladderI had purchased a SPX3000 6 years ago and decided it was time to upgrade. I got this because of the 3200 PSI, figuring that with the extra power I could reach the hard to reach places on my house more easily. Unfortunately I could see no better results with this over the old SPX3000. It is much quieter, and the rotating spray nozzle does a better job on concrete, but otherwise I don’t think I can justify the price I just paid for it. I even grabbed the 15˚ nozzle from my old one to try to give me another option for power and distance. Other than using the rotary nozzle on concrete and it being quieter I can see no reason to pay the premium price for this.

Poor machining and powerHandle machined holes don’t match with unit. Piss poor quality. Low power. Unit rattles and wheels are held together with cotter pins. Can’t believe I paid for this.

Powerful, easy-to-Use PW!I needed some extra power to handle removing algae/moss from a neighbor’s fence, and clean our concrete pavers. Having had several PWs in the past, I have an arsenal of accessories and extra hoses. Fortunately that taught me how important it can be to have adapters on hand. Most of the PWs sold here are equipped with M22-15mm connectors, but not all. I have some M22-16mm accessories, so I keep the adapters handy. This PW is an M22-15mm connector for the pressure hose and trigger gun. I’m glad I had what I needed on hand. First, the included pressure hose and electric cord (with a built in GFCI plug in) are plenty long enough to move around while working. I was also very pleased to see that once depressed, the trigger on the gun needed less pressure to hold down, making it much less fatiguing to use. I keep a large spring clamp handy in any case. Using the 25 degree nozzle, I found out how helpful the extra pressure was in cleaning stubborn stains. I didn’t need to use the 0-degree nozzle at all. When I connected my surface cleaner to the gun, it worked better than ever on our concrete sections lying beneath oak trees. It gets dirty fast, in Springtime. The assembly went easily, too the frame is very solid. I found it helpful to attach the hose/nozzle holder and gun mount/wire loop holder to the handle before slipping the assembly on to the protruding vertical frame ends. The clips are very sturdy. Once the wheels are mounted I’m sure you’ll appreciate how maneuverable the PW is. One complaint is that the power wire is coated with a very stiff plastic which, while it is very durable, makes it really hard to coil up the wire and hang it when the job is over. A more flexible casing would help as would a lower wrap hook on the frame. My snow removal gear is all Snow Joe but this is my first Sun Joe product and I’m quite happy with how well it works.

Everything you need right out of the box The Sun Joe SPX8000-PRO Pro Series 3200-PSI MAX, 1.3-GPM, Electric Pressure Washer, Roll Cage & Accessories worked great. The fittings are an off size if you are looking to add your own attachments but it arrived with everything you need to work right out of the box.It has great power. It was not the easiest assembly but my husband got it done without assistance. It is completely quiet until you pull the trigger. Even then, it’s incredibly more quiet than a gas powered pressure washer. The roll cage gives excellent stability. We had no issues with tipping. My only dislike is the significantly short hose attaching the wand. You can’t reach both sides of the vehicle without dragging garden hose and extension cord.Other than that, we are impressed with the power and do recommend this pressure washer if you don’t mind dragging the garden hose and extension cord until you can order adapters for more common sized attachment fittings.

Quieter and just as effective as gas-poweredSaying an electric power washer isn’t as effective as a gas powered is like saying a Tesla isn’t as fast as a gas powered car. Having extensively owned and used several models of both type washers, I’ve found time and time again that the Sun Joe power washers clean just as effectively as my gas powered washers. The only difference is, I don’t have to worry about gas, oil or regular maintenance with the electric washers. This Sun Joe SPX-8000 handles my deck, driveway, walkway, and stucco easily. Mildew, dirt and grime all come up easily and it cleans every bit as effectively as my gas powered. My walkways change color from dingy dark grey to freshly cleaned beige when cleaned with the Sun Joe, just like with my gas washer. In fact, it’s so much easier to use that I tend to grab the electric washer first for most jobs. For those worried about being tethered to a power cord, it’s plenty long for most jobs and no different than being tethered to the hose. I’ll admit, it does become an issue when I clean the rear of our house because the exterior outlet is on the area being cleaned. I simply use an indoor outlet and feed the cord through the window of the adjacent wall on the side. Problem solved. I also usually only have to clean the stucco once every few years, so it’s really a non-issue. The driveway and walkways are the problem areas in frequent need of cleaning and I have plenty of safely accessible outlets for those areas. Another thing I like about Sun Joe washers are the accessories they offer. I purchased the extension kit to reach higher areas. It allows me to reach all the way up to the second floor without a ladder when I do wash the stucco. If worrying about the effectiveness of electric washers, worry no more and just take the plunge. You won’t regret it. It’s cleaner, quieter and requires less maintenance. But be warned, it is powerful enough to damage more delicate siding and surfaces if the wrong nozzle is used. Again, just like with gas washers.
