Toto CST244EF#01 ENTRADA – 1.28GPF – ELONGATED C244EF + ST243E – COTTON
From the Manufacturer
TOTO’s Entrada Close Coupled Toilet features: 1.28 gallons per flush, E-Max flushing system, elongated bowl, universal height, ADA compliant, chrome trip lever and a 12″ rough-in. The toilet seat must be ordered separately – SS114#01 Softclose seat. Unlike pressure assist toilets, which can be noisy and are made with more complicated moving parts, E-Max is a simple and quiet solution for effectively flushing 1.28 gallons. Utilizing the same proven engineering as our legendary 1.6 GPF G-Max flushing system, the 1.28 GPF E-Max reinforces TOTO’s performance reputation while offering an additional water savings of 20%. E-Max features: • Wide 3″ flush valve provides a quick, consistent and powerful flush. • Large 2-1/8″ trapway is glazed to optimize waste passage. • Pilot-operated fill valve ensures quiet operation and a clean shutoff at any water pressure. • Extra-large siphon jet works in conjunction with the large glazed trapway; the siphon jet pulls away waste with incredible force.

Outstanding value with discount, TOTO reputation speaks volumesThe media could not be loaded.
This is my 2nd TOTO toilet; I had an Eco Drake II (also 1.28 gpf but cyclonic flush) in my condo for over 8 years before moving this year. (The Entrada didn’t exist 8 years ago.) in over 8 years I’ve only clogged that a handful of times, mostly my own fault (TMI, but I use a lot of paper and usually wet it under the faucet for better cleaning). Not quite the presence of the Eco Drake II or the American Standard Cadet PRO in my hotel room last week, but works as expected and saves precious space. (If I’d seen the Cadet PRO in action before buying the Entrada I probably would have gotten that instead.)That said, I got a tremendous deal with an additional limited-time discount from Amazon. Wish now I’d bought another for downstairs. Shipping was fairly quick and packages arrived very well-packaged and undamaged. Minor anxiety as the bowl arrived a day before the tank, but under the same tracking number, so both Amazon and Fedex reported the tank as Delivered when it hadn’t yet been. A little patience and the tank arrived. Plumberstock was very communicative and showed concern.Previous toilet was a Kohler 3.5 gpf bowl to which some genius attached a 1.6 gpf tank. It had a very weak flush that I simply could not live with. I chose to have a plumber do the install; he was impressed with my choice. Glad I did as the previous installer also hopped a bunch of silicone caulk around the wax ring area for no good reason. (Flange and subfloor were ok but had to be scraped clean.) it’s not that a toilet is difficult to install, but that you don’t know what you’re in for when you pull the old one off. This has all the right and necessary features of the Drake, uses 1.28 gpf, and is also chair-height. I’m back to paying my own water bill after 15 years so I will enjoy the extra savings. No Sanagloss that I’m aware of; my previous TOTO had it and I didn’t really notice a benefit over 8 years. Same fill valve, flush valve and trapway. Fills fairly quickly after a flush. The flush and fill are noisy as per TOTO’s reputation. The bowl is more like the regular Drake which was different for me. I get the same initial “glug” sound that another reviewer noted. I didn’t think I’d like the “straight down” bowl flush (versus the Drake II cyclone) but it seems to clean well and is simple. (Actually the cyclone flush in the Drake II didn’t clean as well as expected, so this might be better, we’ll see.) The siphon works well but I really enjoyed the confidence-inspiring “visual effect” of the Cadet PRO much more.I did a test where I poured in a liter of water with a few squirts of bluing solution added. After a single flush, there was still a very minimal but visible light blue tinge to the bowl water. So now I hold down the handle when I flush and it’s all-clear. It doesn’t seem to double-flush if I hold the handle down, but if I need to flush twice I just wait about 20-ish seconds and flush again.

cracked tankafter installing the tank to the toilet…kept leaking by the connecting bolt and nut, ……tried to tighten it,…then loosen it, still leaked,.. wrote to the seller again and again and again…. they asked to return it, but as a looked at it again after separating the tank from bowl , there was a crack, thought spray it with glue but did not work, then I requested seller to send me another similar tank and charge me for it so that I can return this damaged tank( I had already discarded the packing and did not have a secure box to send it and because of that if they would charge me for another tank, when i send the damaged tank they can credit me) but seller said they can not despite my phone conversation that my box is not as good as the original…insisted that I have to return it first. well per their request I tried to take the tank from the toilet, during which the crack got worse and two pieces separated by the same hole that was leaking….used crazy glue to attach it so that there would not beak more when it is shipped back…..it has been Hassel working with them but did not have any choice…… wish they could have been more understanding

I like the minimalist look of the small tankI purchased a house 6 months ago and after many “disapponting” flushes with the old toilets, I needed to do something. After many (probably more that needed) hours of deliberation, I went for1 (and then 2 more) of the Toto EntradaPros:Price: The Entrada may be the cheapest in their lineup up it certainly does the job. The price of the Entrada is on par with a lot of the orange stores models. I looked at all of the Toto models but couldn’t justify the price of the premium models.Looks: I like the minimalist look of the small tank. It certainly makes the bathroom look bigger.Noise: What noise? I had a Toto Drake at my last house and it could wake a sleeping person on another floor. Toto has certainly fixed this issue. The Entrada is as quiet as they come.Efficiency: This certainly uses much less water than the one I replaced.Turn around time: Here is an unintended benefit. The flush is only a little over a gallon so tank refills much faster than old models. Also the tank holds about 3 gallons of water but uses less than half of that for a flush. This means you can flush back to back should the need arise (though it hasn’t happened yet).Skirt size (I guess thats what it is called)- I purchased these to replace existing toilets. In the downstairs bathroom the previous owners had installed a floating floor around the outside of the old toilet. If the skirt had been too small, there would have been a weird gap at the base of the toilet. This unit completely covered the footprint of the old unit. I guess I lucked out since there wasn’t really a way to measure beforehand.Cons:The flush valve that toto uses is not adjustable. The manual says that it is pre-adjusted at the factory. Apparently they adjust it within 1/16″ of the overflow tube. I would have like to adjust it a little lower. It hasn’t caused a problem yet.Notes:Like all toilets, this doesn’t come with 1: A wax or rubber seal, 2: Flange bolts, 3: A seat. Don’t forget to order these. Two out of the three flanges that I mounted the toilets to were rusted to the point of failure. I would recommend getting a heavy steel replacement ring. Unless you live near the orange store. There are a lot of horror stories about ordering toilets on-line. If you are on a tight time line then don’t do it. The boxes were pretty heavy. UPS did bang them up a little. Toto or Amazon does a very good job packaging these with about 3″ of spray in foam all the way around the inner box. For the 3 that I ordered (6 boxes total), there was zero damage to the contents.

And I don’t give five stars often!Exactly as expected! After reading other reviews about the toilet arriving damaged, my husband and I uncrated the boxes to inspect the two toilets, BEFORE the plumber arrived three days later. Toto must have gotten tired of replacing cracked products, because we have never seen anything packed so well in our lives. Some newfangled kind of padding that would survive an earthquake! It only took two hours to remove our 35 year-old toilets and install our new Totos. Plumber said the flushing mechanisms were very well designed. We’ve had them one month now, and my husband is still amazed at how efficiently they flush. When you trigger the lever, only half the water in the tank is released. If you should desire more water, you can just hold the lever down longer. My husband no longer feels the need to do that. (He is the reason we never replaced the old dinosaurs when we remodeled 12 years ago: “What if the new low-flow toilets don’t really flush?”). The Entrada is not too modern; not too classic. The Cotton White color is a bright enamel-white. BUT…the metal lever on the side is shiny stainless! Didn’t notice that when ordering. Clashed with our antique bronze fixtures. And the “universal” white levers (at big box stores) won’t work, because the Toto levers are on the left side of the tank. So checked Toto replacement parts. Guess what? They make a Cotton White lever! Duh. $37 for two, but they ARE metal, and sturdier than the plastic ones that didn’t fit. Why Toto didn’t include them in the first place is beyond me. But got the toilets on sale for $212 apiece, so was willing to fork over the extra dough. One other thing: even though the Entrada does not include the patented slippery surface to ease in cleaning, I have only swished with a bowl cleaner one time in a MONTH! And that was just out of habit, because the dinosaurs had to be SCRUBBED at least weekly. Love these toilets…By the way, I read at least 200 reviews covering every toilet out there, before I chose the Toto. So if someone needs further info about this model, please ask me. I answer all questions. And I thank the guy who got down on the floor and measured the actual footprint of his toilet, which helped me make my decision.

Toto is the Toyota of ToiletsNot many people get excited about toilets. They fill a very primal need, but when they aren’t working you certainly know about it. Well just like Toyota provides exceptional reliability, so too does Toto for toilets. I’ve had 2 Toto Drake toilets, and only once in 2 years have I had to use a plunger to clear it. And that truly could have been the problem of my in house piping. I got these 2 Toto Entradas for my mother’s house. Two great things, 1. Amazon had them for $50/each cheaper than any big box brick and mortar stores did. 2. Fed Ex delivered them without any breakage. Thankful for that.

The bestClearly the best toilet out there for the money. One quick quiet flush, nothing left behind, and never clogs. It makes my Kohler look like barn bucket.

Better than big box store productsThis was my second toilet I replaced in my house. The first one I got from a big box store and it has its issues. One being keeping the porcelain white and the other is the flush. This Toto is awesome, it’s compact design is great, powerful flush and you can actually press the lever and release and it will flush like it should. My BBS toilet will not.

Awesome toilet! These things are amazing. The last thing you want to worry about when delivering an extra large mud monkey to the porcelain throne is that a plunger may be required. These things do just the trick to whisk away the unwanted deposit quickly and powerfully.
