Excellent PerformanceI can only say WOW. Excellent product. I used it in conjunction with a crane to pull and lift a several hundred pound item. Performed great. The winch is strong and versatile. How you use this winch is really based on your imagination. Worth the money.

Helpful tool….while it worked.I bought this tool for one purpose. I used it to fold up the auger on a seed wagon I use on my farm. I bought it before the 2018 season. Used it for 18, 19, 20. First use of 21 it stopped working. It’s simply bricked. Put in charged battery. Turn on the switch. Get a green light. Pull the trigger and….NOTHING. Paperweight now. This is a light task. Might take a 200# pull rolling maybe 8′ of cable each time. Probably used it for maybe 50 uses total.Cannot recommend this tool for hard use. For the cost of this thing, it should be a tool that lasts a long, long time. Not a good value for me.

Don’t forget to turn it off before storing it!The one thing I learned the hard way is that you need to remember to turn the power switch off for storage. Luckily I bought two batteries with mine but its embarrassing to grab it to move something and its dead as a hammer. Over a few weeks of storage the little LED will eat the battery up.However, I’ve already used this thing for so many different projects and jobs. Its like having a few buddies over but not having them drink all your beer! The overload light does come on a bit sooner than I would have thought, however its nice to not burn up something this expensive, much less in the middle of using it and there you are with a load partially moved or lifted. Its a great tool for one person to use. I HAVE had the gearbox turn backwards though and over-run the internal brake. It was slow and there was a lot of weight on it (1700 lbs vs the 1000 lb rating) so I am not surprised. I DO wish it had some sort of freespool lever. I’m not a fan of burning battery power and adding heat to the system just by powering out and not doing any real work.

best Best battery operated winch on the market.Pros: Heavy duty components. Well made and compact design with two battery packs and heavy duty steel cable with swivel hooks.Cons: No remote. Seems dangerous to stand next to a high tension cable under load in order to operate. Also a big miss in design not to have quick cable release to unspool without wasting battery to run in reverse. Very noisy in enclosed space. No adaptor plug to use AC outlets.Researched extensively so even with all of the cons listed it seems to be the best battery operated winch on the market.

Swiss army knifeThis winch is perfect for my needs. Occasionally move a car or hoist an engine. I find excuses to pull it out of the tool box.Definitely wish it had a free wheel option so that you didn’t have to waste battery life. Also a remote of some kind would be much safer then leaving yourself in the danger zone

The DurabilityI will be primarily using my mobile cordless winch for pulling Big game out of steep area’s. Although I have not had the chance to use it for that I have used mock scenarios and it has functioned very well. My biggest complaint to Waren would be to build one that has a remote control to operate it. If this one had one i would probably of purchased (2).

  7. Colton H.

Little bad little goodSo the way we are using these at work, means the battery location is detrimental to the pullzall, we cannot use the battery powered ones cause the battery will become destroyed GI in its location on the machine, I will say these are usually awesome and this one still is, i just can’t use it for the 1 task I purchased it for. Also, when we went to use it(partially our fault) the cable wasn’t wrapped tight on the inside meaning there was slack on it and once we got a load on it that slack of the cable was taken up and damaged the equipment we were working on, like I said our fault for not running it all the way out and making sure it was wound properly before using.

Little but mightyNo substitute for this powerhouse. Used to pull sunken logs from swimming hole in river. Bought option with two batteries – so far haven’t used more than the one. Remember to buy slings, snatch block, extra cable, etc. very high quality!

  9. Raul Ramirez Vargas

Muy práctico y confiable.Lo que no me gustó que para sacar la cuerda gasta mucha energía, debería tener algún tipo de mecanismo clutch para que la libere sin gastar energía de la batería.

Highly RecommendedHad no issue pulling a partially submerged 12 foot dock from the water. I suspect the total weight of the dock to be around 700 lbs. I was lucky to have 2 large trees near by to use as an anchor. I highly recommend this unit.
